Wagner has strong NBL debut for Kings

Perth Redbacks’ State Basketball League player Joel Wagner had a strong debut game for the Sydney Kings last Saturday against the Townsville Crocodiles.

In his 27 minutes on-court the diminutive point-guard scored 7 points at a field goal percentage of 75 along with two assists, two steals, four rebounds and two turnovers.

Joel’s impressive first game for the Kings was cut short when he was concussed whilst putting in a lay-up.

However, he has been cleared to play in the Kings next game against the Wollongong Hawks on 25 November in Wollongong.

The injury-depleted Kings lost to the Crocodiles 59 to 64.
