Benchmark Designer Homes WABL Wrap - Week 3
The Benchmark Designer Homes Redbacks’ WABL teams had six wins and 10 losses in last week’s fixtures. 15 of those games were played away against Lakeside Lightning and one game was against the Kalamunda Eastern Suns.
The under 12 men’s team lost to Lakeside 32 to 52. The Redbacks’ scorers included Kyle Bowan 11, Luke Simonette 8, Reece Hewitt 6 and Joshua Armstrong 2. The loss sees them with 0 win 3 loss season record and in fifth place in the six-team Northern Conference.
The
under 12 women’s team lost to Lakeside 25 to 57. They now have a season record of one win and
two losses and are in 4th conference position out of six teams. Their scorers were Chloe Smith 12, Samantha
Campbell 10, Jordan Parkin 2 and Maddy Craig 1.
The
under 13 men’s team lost to Lakeside 44 to 77, which sees them with a season
record of two wins and one loss and in third place in the six-team
conference. Their scorers were Stephen Pover
12, Max Whately 11, Adam Parora 10, Nicholas Ramsay 4, Jordan Hands 3, Alex
Mancini 2 and Ibraham Soliman 2.
The
under 13 women’s team beat Lakeside 50 to 20. They are now in second place in the five-team conference with two wins
and one loss. Their scorers include Juliet
Tucker 18, Emerson Lambert 12, Tayla Naudi 4, Talethia Valentine 4, Amelia Khuu
2, Vanessa Harwood 2 and Gabriella Pyne 2.
The
men’s under 14s team won their encounter against Lakeside 68 to 56. Their scorers included Jeet Mann 24, Shaquille Maharaj 12,
Jonathon Warrern 12, Jack Wagner 6, Dion Street 4, Mathew Newell 4, Connor
Jansen 2 and Matthew Biletic 2. They are
now in third place in the six-team conference with two wins and one loss.
The
under 14 women’s team lost to Lakeside 27 to 48. Their scorers include Michelle Curro 17,
Joanna Hoang 6 and Jessica Richardson 3. They have yet to record a win this year in their three games and are
currently in 4th place in the five-team conference.
The
under 15 men’s team had a strong 75 to 49 win against Lakeside. Giordano Monteleone was the highest scorer
for his team and any other Redbacks’ team on the day with 33. Other scorers were Jarrett Donker 12, Julian
Nelthorpe 11, Yoseph Soliman 6, Lattrell Matthews 4, Alex Bevilaqua 4, Jacob
Marr 2, Harrison Petkovic 2 and Clint Jansen 1.
The
under 15 women’s team is yet to record a win in their three games so far this
season after losing to Lakeside 34 to 78. They are presently in sixth place in their conference. Their scorers included Samantha Tognolini 14,
Shayna Van Bakkum 6, Lucy Noll 4 and Blade Willison 2.
The
under 16 men’s team lost to Lakeside 40 to 73. Their scorers were Luke Fletcher 15, Domenic Romeo 8, David Koo 6, Conor
Kelly 3, Hasula Poogoda 2, Jake Staunton 2, David Freissbourg-Maria 2 and Liam
Briggs 2.
The
under 16 women’s team had a strong 69 to 38 win over Lakeside. They now have a season record of two wins and
one loss and are in fifth place in the six-team conference, but could easily be
in third place were it not for percentages. Jesssica Hughes was the highest scorer of all Redbacks’ women’s teams on
the day with 21. Other scorers were Lori
Ashworth 16, Caitlin Largue 11, Kristie Hawes 10, Natasha Ziino 5, Bianca
Parora 4 and Abbey Harris 2.
The
under 18 men’s division two team lost their game to Lakeside 38 to 67. They have yet to record a win in their two
games and are currently in ninth place out of ten teams. Their scorers were Scott Sampson 13, Josh
Hindle 9, Mark Elliott 8, Giorgio Milio 3, Sanni Mandred 2, Brad Smeaton 2 and
Raphael Bianchini 1.
Jessica
Jakens top-scored for the Redbacks women’s under 18s team with 18 points. Other scorers included Elise Neates 8, Gabby
O'Sullivan 6, Carlie Richardson 5, Caris Dinardo 2 and Emma Black 2. However, despite these strong efforts they still
lost to Lakeside 51 to 68. They now have
a season record of one win and two losses and are in fourth place in the
six-team conference.
The
under 18 men’s division one team has yet to record a win in their three
encounters after losing to Lakeside 71 to 77. They are in sixth place in their
conference. Their scorers were Steven Vigor
24, Dylan Murphy 12, Ben Ellis 12, Filip Glisic 11, Declan Everett 5, Darcy
Smit 3, Sstephen Thick 2 and Travis Uphill 2.
The
under 20 men’s team played against the Kalamunda Eastern Suns. They now have a season record of one win and
two losses. Their scorers were Geordie
Murray 13, Shaun Bartlett 11, Joshua Guppy 10, Sheldon Godfrey 9, Alessio Milio
8, Ashley Flynn 6 and Ryan Vincent 2.
The
Men’s Development League team remains unbeaten after three games following
their 70 to 62 win against Lakeside. They are presently in second-place in the six-team conference. Their scorers were Michael Vigor 26, Reece
Dempster 10, Robert Cassir 9, Jarrad Jackson 9, Blake Smith 8, Dale Elliot 5
and Ashley Stephens 3.
The
Women’s Development League team is the only conference top-side of any Redbacks’
team after beating Lakeside 66 to 51, with a season record of three wins and no
losses. Their scorers were Jacinta
Bourne 18, Natasha Nicholson 12, Frances Clarke 9, Monique Kickett 7, Kristy
Jedrzejewski 7, Alix Hayward 6, Latoya Wallace 4, Catherine Tinley 2 and Gabby
O'Sullivan 1.
