Southside Mitsubishi State Basketball League Milestones
22-year-olds Jarrad Prior and Joel Wagner celebrate their 150th and 100th SBL games respectively in this Saturday night’s home fixture at the Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre against the Rockingham Flames.
Jarrad’s career milestones include his selection to the Perth Wildcats in season 2009/10, team most valuable player (MVP) award and best defensive player award in 2008 and selection in the under 20 and under 16 State teams. He also had a score of 59-points against the Bunbury Slammers in 2006, which was a record-high SBL single-game score in the first decade of the 2000s.
Joel’s milestones also includes Perth Wildcats selection in 2009/10, MVP Award in 2007, league-high assists in seasons 2008 and 2009 and selection to the State under 20s side in 2006.
The game also sees the Redbacks’ women’s team back in action in their game against the Flames, which starts at 6PM. Tip-off for the men’s game is at 8PM.
