REDBACKS SELECTED FOR WILDCATS

Two Southside Mitsubishi Redbacks will be development players for the Perth Wildcats in the upcoming season.
Joel Wagner and Jarrad Prior have played together in the same Redbacks’ Western Australian Basketball League teams since they were 11-years old and for the last five years in its State Basketball League (SBL) team.
They both represented Western Australia in the National under 20s Basketball Championships held in Perth in 2006.
Joel’s SBL career includes; Redbacks’ Most Valuable Player in 2007, league leader for assists from 2007-2009 and Most Improved Player in the league in 2007.
Jarrad won the Most Valuable Player along with Best Defensive player for the Redbacks in 2008 and has a decade-high SBL score for an individual game of 59 points against Bunbury in 2006.
Both players are very excited with being provided the opportunity to play for the Wildcats and have already been involved in a three-game pre-season tournament against the Adelaide 36ers.
We wish them both the best in their upcoming National Basketball League debut season.
