STATE BASKETBALL LEAGUE HOME GAME TO BE HELD IN ALBANY

The game promises to be a great occasion as it will be the first SBL fixtured game held in Albany for nearly 10-years. The Albany community has always had, and continues to have, a tremendous interest in the sport of basketball. This is evidenced by the fact that in the last year of operation of their SBL team they averaged a crowd attendance of approximately 800 spectators per game; and at their recent Domestic Competition senior’s grand final held last year they had about 900 spectators.
This game will be treated as a home fixture for the Redbacks and we are encouraging our supporters to plan ahead and to come down to Albany and be a part of this historic and exiting event. If there is sufficient interest we may look at developing a weekend package that for a limited number of people that includes travel, the game and overnight accommodation.
It promises to be a great night as we believe the game will receive huge support from their community as part of their overall drive to prove the viability of an Albany team again re-entering the SBL competition at some time in the next few years.
