Womens SBL List Announced

The Southside Mitsubishi Redbacks have announced their 2008 WSBL team. The team has been hard at work in the pre-season under the watchful eye of returning head coach Narelle Henry. Joining the second year coach is last years retired captain, and club legend, Helen Vlahov as the assistant.
The team remains largely unchanged from 2007 with the core of the group returning. The list is as follows:

* Christine Boyd
* Ashley Cargle*
* Kelsey Crook
* Kerise Delcoure
* Kristy Harrap*
* Natlie Harris
* Narelle Henry
* Kristy Jedrzejewski
* Monique Kickett
* Natasha Nicholson
* Josephine O'Callaghan
* Martine Pearman*
* Yasmin Seden*
* Latoya Wallace
* New player from 2007 roster
Martine Pearman returns from having 2007 off. Also joining the team, from Stirling Senators is Ashley Cargle. Cargle, who played 8 games in 2007, averaged 4 points & 3 rebounds while averaging 9 minutes a game for the Senators.
Yasmin Seden also picks up a contract in 2008 after playing her basketball in Darwin for Ansett. Seden also played in the 2007 Arafura games for the Northern Territory.
Congratulations to all of the selected players and good luck for the 2008 season. The Women have an upcoming pre-season game against the Willetton Tigers. The game is on Thursday 20th March 8:20pm @ Willetton Stadium. We will keep you posted on the results of the match.
We also look forward to seeing you all at the official 2008 SBL Singlet presentation to be held at Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre this Saturday the 15th March at 2pm.
