Division 1 Women Fall At Last Hurdle

Our Division 1 WABL team fell short on Grand Final day at Perry Lakes Stadium yesterday. The ladies were the only Redbacks representative in the Grand Finals and took on the Wanneroo Wolves.

Having beaten the Wolves once and lost by three points in the regular season it was anticipated to be a close match. However it was unfortunate that things didn't click on the day as the ladies went down 41-76.

To make the Grand Final was an outstanding achievement and a testament to the great work done by Narelle Henry as the head coach of the Women's SBL program. The talent on display this year has been great and we look forward to seeing many more years of rewarding results as this young team comes to fruition.

We look forward to the 2008 WABL Season. In the meantime teams will be practising for the upcoming Willetton Carnival and the end of year State Championships. Keep checking back on the site for details.
