The Redbacks had three teams that made it to the Semi Finals this weekend. All three teams played well and had close games, unfortunately only one of those teams managed to make it through to the final game of the season.

The Under 18 man went into their game slightly under manned, missing State Country player Gary Anderson. They matched up against the top of the table Stirling Senators and went down 73-86. They managed to stay very close for three quarters with Stirling managing to stretch the lead out to double figures late in the game. The boys have had a very successful season and have been unlucky not to make it through to the final round.

The Division 1 Women took the court after the Under 18 Men and tasted success. They managed to knock out the Willetton Tigers outfit with a 58-53 win. They know move onto the Grand Final next weekend against the Wanneroo Wolves who had an upset win against the Perry Lakes Lady Hawks who only dropped one game all season.

The Division 1 Men just missed out on making another Grand Final appearance, falling to the Cockburn Cougars 70-77. The team fought hard all match but were extremely unlucky not to be playing next weekend. Like the Under 18 Men, they have had a very strong season.

To have our club represented in the Grand Finals is an outstanding achievement. We would like to not only congratulate the girls, but also encourage as many people as possible to head down to Perry Lakes next weekend to support this team as they strive for more Redbacks glory! The times will be placed on the site later in the week, so keep checking back.

Go Redbacks!
