'Juniors'

 

As Healesville Hornets Basketball is such a small Association, we as a Committee make up all our teams from the age groups of U/10’s to U/17’s. We play girls and boys together in a mixed season, with players from this area or district making up our teams. We endeavour to make our teams as balanced as possible, with a even mix of experienced and novice players. Also, if there is a team that happens to be too strong during the season, we will shuffle players around to balance the teams again!

 

At the moment we have U/10's, U/13's and U/17's. 

U/10's play on a Monday night from 4.30pm

U/13's play on a Monday night from 5.45pm

U/17's play on a Monday night from 6.30pm

Times will vary from Season to Season, this is current as from the Winter season 2015.

We start our Summer season in the fourth School Term ending at the end of the first School Term, and the Winter Season starts at the Start of the Second School Term and finishes at the end of the Third school term.

 

Micro Mini Hoopers will have a maximum amount of 15 players per Season, they will also have the rings lowered, while the Healesville Hoopers will have the rings at the legal Basketball height. We respectively request that all Parents will need to be present at all times. These programs are run on a Term to Term basis, starting on Wednesday the 15th July, at 4.30pm. (for Micro Mini and Healesville Hoopers).

 

We would also like to start seeing a more consistent uniform from ALL players, with Black shorts worn, with NO POCKETS, and good suitable footwear to play in (White soled if possible). On a last note, the Healesville Hornets Committee has gone to great expense to provide Singlets for players to wear. We, as a club, need assistance in keeping the tops in good condition season after season. If every child, parent and senior player ensures this happens, everything will go smoothly and this practice can continue to happen!
