Magic win quarter final showdown
MANDURAH Magic has progressed to the semi finals of the State Basketball League women’s competition after defeating the Perth Redbacks 83-67 in Perth last Friday night.
Magic went into the best-of-three quarter final clash 1-0 after defeating the Redbacks at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre the previous weekend.
The Magic girls didn’t have to go to the deciding game on Saturday night when they controlled the tempp to win the series in two games.
Shelly Boston top scored for Mandurah with 23 points with solid support from Gemma Thomas on 15, Tarsha Fletcher and Casey Mihovilovich on 14 points each.
Magic will take on the Perry Lakes Hawks at Perry Lakes Stadium in the first semi final this Friday night.
