Hawks Captain Ben Purser reaches 200

Perry Lakes Hawks captain Ben Purser will tonight celebrate his 200th SBL Game as they take on the Stirling Senators at the Bendat Basketball Centre.

Purser a former Perth Wildcats development player has starred for the Hawks since his SBL debut in 2008 before taking out the leagues Most Improved Player award in 2009.

Known for his defensive qualities and all-round game style, Purser is an integral member of the Hawks team and has been a major contributor this season as his team has turned their form around to now be in playoffs contention.

Purser has been involved in two Grand Final appearances with the Hawks in 2009 and 2011.

On behalf of the State Basketball League we would like to congratulate Ben on an outstanding 200 games!

Hawks fans get down to the Bendat Basketball Centre tonight for a special presentation prior to the Men's game which tips off at 8:30pm after the Women.
