Justin Cecil signs with the Hawks
The Perry Lakes Hawks have secured the signature of the 2013 SBL Grand Final MVP – Justin Cecil.
Cecil was a key player for Lakeside Lightning in the 2013 season and took out the MVP of the Grand Final for the Championship team. During 2013, Justin was averaging 21.4 PPG, 5.2 RPG and 3 APG, whilst shooting 42% from the 3 point line for Lakeside.
Coach Charles Nix had this to say about Justin: “We are very excited to have Justin on board. We feel he will really add to this group. Justin is a dynamic swingman that will give us more versatility on the floor, we can use him in a variety of lineups to try and create mismatches.
Anyone who has spent time with Justin will realize the quality of the young man; we are a Club that only recruits good people with great character and if you watched last year’s grand final you’ll understand what he can bring for us. We can’t wait to get him on the floor and he’s aching to play as well’’.
Cecil arrived into Perth on Wednesday and is waiting on Basketball Australia and Immigration approval to suit up for the Hawks.
The Perry Lakes Hawks welcome Justin back to Perth and look forward to seeing him in the blue and white of the Hawks.
