Week Eight 'Kickz 101 Perth' Newcomer of the Week

Stirling Senators rising star Nikolas Iliadis has taken out the week eight ‘Kickz101 Perth’ Men’s Newcomer of the Week award.

The future is certainly bright for the Stirling Senators as Iliadis joins teammates Caleb Davis and Joshua Throns as weekly winners in season 2013.

After representing Western Australia in the National Under 20’s earlier this year, Iliadis has played a vital role for the Senators so far this season receiving plenty of court time under Head Coach David Lindstorm.

Iliadis was one of Stirling’s best in Saturday night’s 10 point loss to Cockburn recording a double-double with 13 points and 11 assists to go with 3 rebounds.

Other considerations for the weekly award include Caleb Davis (Stirling), Joshua Throns (Stirling), Sean Gilmore (Stirling), Hayden Noordhoek (Willetton), Robert Huntington (Wanneroo) and Louis Timms (Kalamunda).

In the Women’s SBL, 19 year old Donnelle Wallam of the Collie Crane Hire South West Slammers has been awarded the week eight ‘Kickz101 Perth’ Women’s Newcomer of the Week.

Wallam was super impressive on Friday night scoring 12 points to go with 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals in just 17 minutes of court time as the Slammers defeated Perth 63-52.

Other considerations for the award included Rebecca Boyanich (Perry Lakes), Gabriella Clayton (Perry Lakes), Ashlee Sidebottom (Mandurah), Jessica Jakens (Perth) and Adrienna Jones (Kalamunda).

Both Illiadis and Wallam are now in contention for the monthly award where the winner of a facebook poll receives a pair of shoes of their choice thanks to Kickz101 Perth.
