Slammers team up to save mate's house
A Bunbury basketball team passed children to safety through the back fence and bucketed water from a swimming pool to douse embers after a fire emergency interrupted a training session.
South West Slammers players rushed to help team mate Lee Smith when his Glen Iris home was threatened by a blaze on Monday night.
Several players lent a hand helping protect homes as the inferno spewed ash over the quiet estate.
