The Board of Willetton Basketball Association is delighted to announce the appointment of Matt Foster to the position of Men's SBL Southlands Willetton Tigers coach for 2012.

Matt has been associated with Willetton for many years - starting as a Willetton junior player.

He played 280 SBL games for the Tigers in the SBL from 1992 to 2005, playing in the Tigers 2002 runners-up team.

Foster also took out the league MVP award in 1999, a year where he averaged 24.6 points at 46%, 13.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists.

He has been a coach for some years, and this year was awarded Basketball WA's Go for 2&5 Male WABL Coach of the Year.

He has recently returned from the National Under 14 Boys Club Championships with his Willetton team coming a hard-fought seventh in the country.
