Clarke steps down as Tigers WSBL Coach

Southlands Willetton Tigers WSBL Head Coach Glenn Clarke has stepped down as the Head Coach after taking out their third succesive Championship on Friday night.

"The “three-peat” was a dream come true but unfortunately the dream will end for me this season" said Clarke.

The Tigers defeated the East Perth Eagles by one point in the 2011 WSBL Grand Final at WABC on Friday night.

"I will not be re-signing with the Willetton Women’s SBL team next year. I would like, however, to thank all my Assistant Coaches, Managers over the years and also the Administrators that put the team on the floor week in and week out."

"A fourth Championship isn’t out of the question, I believe, for the right person to come on board. Not many coaches get this type of opportunity to get the 'three-peat' and all the past and present players for the last three years, I thank you for your support."

The Willetton Tigers have already advertised for a replacement, click here to view the details.
