SBLtv is back for season 2011

SBLtv is back better than ever in season 2011

After a ground breaking first campaign, the LMSCtv team return this year hitting the courts all over WA for another season of the State Basketball League.

While the ever popular combo of local basketball identity Scott “Hoody” Hood and James “JB” Broadhurst will be returning this season, there will be several new additions to the commentary team.

LMSCtv is proud to announce that Perth's best breakfast radio host, Steve “Millsy” Mills is joining the SBLtv team as game night host in 2011.

Darren “Whopper” Russel also returns after cameos during the finals series as SBLtv's man on the court.

After such a successful season in 2010, the team is immensely excited about 2011 that will see the crew travel to all venues across the state.

“While 2010 was a fantastic success, we really went into the season not knowing how the concept would evolve,” said LMSCtv / SBLtv Production Manager Melissa Ferguson.

“It was amazing what the partnership between the SBL and LMSC managed to achieve in such a short time frame, so this year we're sure to reach even greater heights.”

Probably the biggest and best change this year the addition of Steve Mills as game night host. A media veteran and basketball mad fan, “Millsy” is set to take the show to the next level.

“Having Millsy on board is such a great coup,” said Ferguson.

“When the concept was put to him, he jumped at the chance. His experience and enthusiasm is going to be a magnificent new addition, the fans are going to love him.”

The season's opening fixture will be this Friday night at Lakeside with the Lightning taking on the Suns, with the broadcast going live from 8:30pm.
