Martin makes Boomers team

Australian Central East Perth Eagles guard Damian Martin was this morning announced in the Australian Boomers World Championship team.

Martin, who is also a part of the Wildcats Championship team from last season, played 6 games with the Eagles in the SBL throughout 2010.

Through injury and his Australian team commitments, Martin unfortunately missed the last part of the season and the finals, however he was always a regular at Eagles games whether playing or watching.

Martin and his Boomers team mates will depart Melbourne on August 19 for Europe where they will play in a Four Nationals tournament before heading to Turkey for the 2010 FIBA World Championships.

The team is led by Australian NBA stars Patrick Mills & David Anderson with Western Australian bread star Mark Worthington also named.
