Slammers men pipped at the post

The Carpet Court South West Slammers have come agonizingly close to a breakthrough State Basketball League victory, falling to competition heavyweights GoldfieldsGiants by three points at Eaton on Sunday afternoon.

Led by Jason Miller (28-points and nine rebounds), Aaron Edwards (20-points, 11-rebounds) and Trey Clarkson (14-points) the tenacious home side appeared on track to cause a major upset when they held a six point half-time advantage.
