Week Nine PowerPlayer of the Week

Australian Central East Perth Eagles star Tom Jervis claimed the men’s PowerPlayer of the Week award for round nine.

Jervis won the award with strong performances against Total Connections Perry Lakes Hawks and Cockburn Cougars.

He will receive a $50 voucher to PowerPlay Sports in Subiaco, as will Mandurah Magic’s Casey Mihovilovich, who claimed the women’s award.

The Eagles centre had 12 points, 28 rebounds and nine blocks in its 90-81 over Perry Lakes before backing it up with 21 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists in its 109-75 victory at Cockburn the next night.

Jervis is averaging 16.8 points and 14.3 rebounds per game for East Perth this season.

Mihovilovich claimed the women’s award with an impressive performance at AND1 Kalamunda Eastern Suns.

She had 25 points, 10 rebounds and five assists from 38 minutes on the court in Mandurah’s 80-68 victory.

The Magic star is averaging 21 points and seven rebounds per game this season, and has scored 26.6 points per game over her previous five.
