The normal season may be finished, but if you'd like to work on your skills, or get out and about these holidays - below are some options for you to get out and play some ball!
Something for the girls..... at Maroochydore
Something for everybody at Noosa
Noosa are running clinics on Tuesday 13th and Thursday 15th December 12:30pm – 2:30pm and again in January Tuesday 17th and Thursday 19th Jan 12:30-2:30pm. These clinics are being run by Shaka Hatcher and Vern Robateau (Phoenix U14 boys No. 2 team coaches). $25 per clinic.

INTERCLUB IS ALMOST HERE!
Sunshine Coast Inter-club Basketball is here. After years of planning, Inter-club will start in February 2017. This exciting new competition for all members of SCBA, Maroochy, Caloundra, Noosa, will start providing a new competitive basketball League weekly on the Sunshine Coast. Known as the Sunshine Coast Basketball League (SCBL), it will bring in a new tier of competition between the existing local Club fixtures and Basketball QLD's BQJBC Rep competition, providing a transition between the two.
If you are an U16's or U18's boy or girl, in 2017 you will have 3 options on how you would like to play;
1: To Play just Local Club Fixtures (as you currently have been doing)
2: To play just SCBL Interclub - Representing their Club across 3 venues.
3: or to Play Both.
The season tips off on 3 February 2017 and will start with U16 & U18 Boys and Girls.
(Depending on the success of these we will look at introducing other age groups in next season) This is a very exciting announcement for SCBA and will bring us in line with most other sports on the Sunshine Coast that already play against each other in a weekly competition. Development is driven by quality competition and we recognise the way to achieve this is to play Club against Club.
CALOUNDRA TRIALS FOR INTERCLUB TEAMS ARE ON;
OPTION 1 - THIS THURSDAY - December 15th 2016,
4:30pm - U16's Boys and Girls - born in 2002, 2003
5:30pm - U18's Boys and Girls - born in 2000, 2001
OPTION 2 - Tuesday - January 24th 2017
4:00pm - U16's Boys and Girls - born in 2002, 2003
5:00pm - U18's Boys and Girls - born in 2000, 2001
If you can't make either of these days - but would like to be considered for one of the two interclub teams Caloundra will form in each category - please email caloundrabasketball@hotmail.com ASAP.
