This is a 3 day basketball carnival from January 24th-26th, 2015.

Basketball Venues:
1. Suncoast Clippers home court - Maroochydore Basketball Stadium - Buderim.
2. University of the Sunshine Coast Sports 3 court stadium - Sippy Downs.

The divisions available and Team fees to nominate:

1. Men & Women's A grade ....... $450.00
2. Men & Women's B grade ....... $350.00
3. Men & Women's C grade ....... $300.00
(Team fees include a $100 non-refundable deposit)

Grand Final prize money offered:

A grade - 1st = $1000 ----- 2nd = $250
B grade - 1st = $500 ------ 2nd = $200
C grade - 1st = $200 ------ 2nd = $100

Full TEAM payment due by 5pm Sunday 18th January 2015.

If you are a referee and wanting to assist in being an official for this tournament, please contact SuncoastClippersRegistrar@hotmail.com.  Please include your referee qualification/level details and availabilities for the event.

Competition & Payment Guidelines: 

1. Suncoast Clippers have the right to withdraw any competition grade if team nominations are below minimum required 4 teams in the above carnival. 
2. Suncoast Clippers management has the right to limit the amount of teams accepted in all divisions 
3. All teams must supply one scorer for your game. Scoring will be paper format and using facility stadium clock/score board. Scorers are not paid. 
4. Suncoast Clippers management will provide scorers for all grand final games on the Monday. 
5. Full team nomination and payment must be paid by Sunday 18th Jan, 2015 to participate. Teams nominated will be withdrawn from carnival draw if payment is not received. 
6. If a team withdraws: A team has until Monday 19th January 2015 to withdraw nomination. Team nomination fees will be refunded full fees, less non-refundable $100 deposit. 
7. If a team withdraws on or after Tuesday 20th January 2015, there will be NO REFUND.

Carnival game RULES: 

1. Games will run 4 x 10 minute quarters over a 50 min time allocation. 5 min warm up if time permits. 
2. 1 min break between quarters, 2 minute half time break. 
3. Games will start and play with a running clock - allows games to run on time.  Clock only stops for all whistles and time outs in last 2 mins of 4th quarter. 
4. No draw games. 3 mins extra time played, stopping clock only for one time out each team, and every whistle for last one minute of extra time. 
5. B & C grades - NO invitation players (2014/2015 active SBL or QBL) 
6. Players must play 50% of Round games to be eligible to play finals (including cross overs) 
7. All teams must supply one scorer for all rounds. Scorers will be provided for Grand final games. 
8. Players can register to play in more than one division, as per rule 5 guidelines. 


** Basketball Zero Tolerance Policy ** 
To ensure a safe and enjoyable playing environment, this tournament will run sanctioned by Basketball QLD, and within their guidelines. Suncoast Clippers have implemented a Zero Tolerance Policy for inappropriate behavior for Players, Coaches, Parents, Officials and Spectators. 

The Policy will ensure that: 
1. There will be a zero tolerance shown towards any inappropriate or abusive behavior from Players, Coaches, Officials, Parents and Spectators. 
2. Any Player, Coach, Official, Parent and/or Spectator who feels the necessity to: 
 Persistently or willfully question or challenge the rulings of the referees 
 Berate or abuse referees 
 Berate or abuse players 
 Berate or abuse other parents or spectators 
 Display conduct which is inappropriate in a sporting environment 
will be asked to leave the venue immediately by the Court Controller. No warnings need be given in the event of the above action becoming necessary. 

In addition to spectator behavior being monitored by the Court Controller and Referee Supervisor, if the Referees have an issue with a spectator they may stop the game and get the Court Controller and inform them of what has occurred, in order to have the Court Controller remove the parent or spectator. If at any stage during a game a referee believes a spectator needs to be watched, they may stop the game and ask the Court Controller to watch.
