Cr Dickson said expanding the stadium would provide a high quality facility for the next generation of basketball athletes.  "Big things are happening for Australia in the world of basketball at the moment and the stadium expansion will help foster the careers of local aspiring stars," Cr Dickson said.  "The addition of two indoor courts to complement the previously existing one will enhance sport and recreation opportunities for Sunshine Coast residents, and also draw other teams and athletes to the area for training camps and games."

Our new home is taking shape with media taking a keen interest in the redevelopment. The decision to revamp parts of the existing stadium has come at a huge cost with our existing Grand Stand having to make way to create FIBA standard run offs . This means we are back on the fundraising trail hoping to crowd fund $180,000 to purchase a 400 seat state of the art mobile compactable Grand Stand. Donors can sponsor a seat for $400 where they will be recognised on a plaque attached to the new grand stand. There is also an opportunity to sponsor a decorative panel created from materials used in our existing stand where donors will again be recognised on a plaque attached to the memorabilia.
