Congratulations Mordialloc-Braeside Junior Football League, claiming the Good Sports State Club of the Year Award.
Commencing in 2005, the Regional Good Sports Club of the Year awards are in recognition of community sporting clubs employing responsible and innovative alcohol management practices.
Mordialloc-Braeside JFC, in consultation with all it’s members as well as parents of players, has a policy not to serve alcohol to its players even those that have turned 18. The club has also taken the step of not including alcohol as part of overall ticket price during club functions. Over the past several years the club has doubled its membership; expanded food options through its canteen and purchased a coffee machine; as well as expanding its club merchandise range for players and their parents.
