The Moorabbin Saints Junior Football League inaugural Chick Kick Day on Saturday (11th June) was a massive success with over 170 girls registering throughout the day.
All of the girls were allocated into teams within MSJFL clubs and a total of ten teams played in the Lightning Carnival.
Channel Nine came down to take some footage of the girls playing in Victoria’s first ever Junior Girls Football Competition and two lucky East Sandringham JFC girls were interviewed for the Nine News story on Saturday night. (News Story to be made available in the coming days.)
The Chick Kick Day was a ‘Come and Try’ Girls Football day but also a perfect warm-up for the MSJFL Under 12 Girls competition that will commence on Saturday 25 June in the afternoon.
For girls aged between 9 and 12 you are still invited to be part of the Victoria’s first Under 12 Girls Football Competition. To register girls can contact their local club, register here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/AFLVu12girls or contact the League directly on 9553 5985 or administration@msjfl.com.au.
