Rockhampton Basketball Incorporated has pleasure in announcing that National Championship winning assistant coach, Kevin Bolck will again lead the Hog’s Breath Café Cyclones for the upcoming 2009 season.

RBI Operations Manager, Jamie Boon, said, “We gave some serious consideration to the Head Coach’s position for the Cyclones and we kept coming back to Kev.  Under his guidance the Cyclones performed extremely well in the 2006 season and we felt that his experience with the Rockets over the past few seasons would have him ideally suited to take the reins again”.

“Kev has been involved with Rockhampton Basketball for quite a long period of time and he has genuine passion to see the Cyclones return to the finals and vie for a State Championship. With several extremely talented girls playing representative basketball in the juniors our focus will be on nurturing that talent, while complimenting them with the right people to assist them both on and off the court”. 

Cyclones Head Coach, Kevin Bolck stated, “I am extremely pleased to have been offered the Head Coaching position with the Cyclones and hope that we can start to build what the Rockets have been able to achieve over the past two seasons.  One of the important ingredients of the Rockets success was the camaraderie enjoyed by all of the boys – we will definitely be taking a leaf out of that book”.

“At this stage we will speak with all the girls who participated this year and ascertain their willingness to be involved again, then we will look at what will be our best option moving forward in terms of recruiting around what we have, to place in the best position to develop and win basketball games”.
