2022 Finals

Basketball New South Wales is pleased to announce that the Hills Basketball Association will be hosting the 2022 Spalding Waratah Senior League & Coles Express NBL1 East Finals Weekend from the 27th-28th of August 2022.

Hills Basketball Association, CEO, Steve Burke said on behalf of the Hills BA, they are excited to once again be given the opportunity to host the best athletes in the competition at their stadium this finals weekend.

“Hills Basketball is both proud and excited to be selected to host the 2022 Senior Finals. We previously hosted in 2018 so we know what a buzz it is to have teams from across the state gather in our stadium at Finals time,” said Burke

“2022 will see the introduction of the Spalding Waratah Wheelchair division and given our involvement in this space, from grassroots to elite, we’re really looking forward to this addition. We can’t wait to see everyone in the Hive for the Finals!”

Basketball New South Wales, CEO, Maria Nordstrom said she is looking forward to the weekend being hosted by Hills Basketball Association and can’t wait to see who takes home the first place banner across all leagues and divisions.

“On behalf of the New South Wales Basketball Board and staff, I would like to firstly extend my thanks to Steve and the Hills Basketball Association for hosting this year. After not having our league showcased during a finals format in 2021, I am excited that this year we will have not only our inaugural NBL1 East finals but also our Spalding Waratah Wheelchair League on display,” said Nordstorm.

“The Spalding Waratah Senior League & Coles Express NBL1 East Finals weekend showcases all of the hard work and dedication of all of the teams, coaching staff, officials and associations and it will be sure to be a weekend of high-class basketball for all involved”
