REP COACHES ANNOUNCED FOR 2017/18 UNDER 16/18/21
Thank you to all the coaches who applied for positions. Congratulations to the following coaches who have been named for the upcoming 2017/18 Representative season.
Under 12 and 14 coaches will be selected in the next month.
Under 16 Boys Waves - Shaun Gleeson
Shaun is a member of the QBL Rollers teama and has been the youth development officer of Rockhampton Basketball. His first year as a GC Head coach and a former GC junior.
Under 16 Boys Breakers - Warren Carr
Warren is the assistant coach of our QBL Lady Rollers team. Has had extensive experience in coaching representative basketball.
Under 16 Boys Rollers - Sarah Glazebrook
Sarah is a player in our QBL and SBL Lady Rollers team. This is her first year as a representative coach, a former GC junior and has coching experience.
Under 16 Boys Tides - TBA - dependant on trials.
Under 16 Girls Waves - Steve Weiland
Steve is the current QBL Lady Rollers head coach and has an immense amount of coaching experience.
Under 16 Girls Breakers - TBA
Under 18 Boys Waves - Jimmy Williams
Jimmy had his streak of 4 consecutive BQJBC titles broken last year. President of the Association, he has extensive experience as a representative coach
Under 18 Boys Breakers - Carl Forbes
Carl returns as a GC represetative coach. One of the most intense coaches who demands effort from his players.
Under 18 Boys Rollers - Warren Carr
Warren is the assistant coach of our QBL Lady Rollers team. Has had extensive experience in coaching representative basketball.
Under 18 Girls Waves - Rebecca Morris
Bec a former QBL player, has extensive experience in coaching representative basketball. She is looking forward to pushing our team to the best it can achieve.
Under 18 Girls Breakers - TBA - dependant on trials
Under 21 Boys Waves/Breakers - TBA - dependant on trials
Under 21 Women Waves - Cassie Dover
Cassie a former QBL player, has extensive experience as a representative coach. She is currently the Lady Rollers QBL assistant coach.
TRIAL INFORMATION
Stage 1 – Gold Coast Basketball Representative Team Trials
All trials will be held at Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, Carrara, Nerang Broadbeach Rd.
Thursday 20th, 27th July and 3rd, 10th of August 2017
6.00pm to 7.30pm - U16 and U18 Girls
6.00pm to 7.30pm - U16 Boys
7.30pm to 9.00pm - U18 Boys
