QBL Player Profile: Aaron Anderson

Aaron Anderson, Brisbane Capitals QBL Men’s import is looking solid as he enters the 2015 QBL Season. Anderson, proudly sponsored by Acceleration, is a lively point guard straight out of the University of North Dakota (NCAA Div 1).

Aaron had an impressive four- year career at UND, averaging 28.3 minutes and 10.8 points for his college career.  He is the all-time leader in games played with 133, 11th all-time with 1,430 points, fourth in steals with 141, sixth in assists with 360 and seventh in three-pointers made with 149. In his junior year he was the only player to start all 33 games during the season and became the 33rd player in UND history to join the 1,000-point club and just the 10th junior to reach the feat.

“It was a great experience. I enjoyed my time at UND and wouldn’t change my decision at all,” he said. “I had a good four-year career there and enjoyed the process of establishing UND as a Div. I program in the Big Sky Conference.”

Aaron studied Business Economics for four years at North Dakota.

Anderson graduated from Osseo High in 2010, where he played varsity for two-years. During his high school career, Aaron set the school’s single-season assist mark with 159 as a senior and was a member of the A-B Honour Roll in all four of his high school academic years. He still pays close attention to the Orioles because his younger brother Allen is a starting guard.

Aaron says he is finding Brisbane an easy adjustment as “everyone speaks English” and the weather is nice.

Aaron came off a 13 point game with the Brisbane Capitals last weekend in the nail-bitter against Cairns Marlins. Capitals went down 72 to 73.
