Brisbane Capitals: Position Advertisement – QBL Women’s Head Coach
Brisbane Basketball Inc. is inviting applications for suitably qualified, dedicated and experienced performance coaches for the position of 2018 Brisbane Capitals QBL Women's Head Coach.
Position Details
The Brisbane Capitals Women's QBL team is the premier senior women’s representative team of Brisbane Basketball Inc. The team competes in the Queensland Basketball League (QBL); a national division two level competition underpinning the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL). As the premier senior women’s representative team, the Lady Caps forms an important part of the Brisbane Capitals Senior Women's Performance Program (QBL, SBL & U21's).
The successful candidate will be required to steward the Senior Women’s Performance Program working closely with the Women's SBL and U21 Head Coaches in roster management, athlete workloads, team integration, allocation and prioritisation of resources, and the week to week operation of the player "pathway" across the Senior Women's Performance Program.
This position has a high visibility role in our organisation and is suitable for a proactive leader who is supportive of the Brisbane Capitals Performance Program Vision, Philosophies and Objectives.
Reports to:
The Brisbane Capitals QBL Women’s Head Coach reports to the Performance Manager and is accountable for developing a culture, which creates excellence on and off the court.
Qualifications, Abilities and Experience:
Level 2 (Association or Performance) Coach Accreditation or equivalent.
Minimum three (3) years Head Coach experience leading a performance or high performance (adult and older adolescent) basketball team.
Demonstrated ability of improved team and individual player performance in a performance or high performance environment.
Tertiary qualifications in either sports coaching, management, teaching, adult learning, training and assessment, exercise and sports science, health sciences or equivalent work experience is desirable.
