COVILE SIGNS WITH METEORETTES
The Global Product Search Meteorettes have signed Erica Covile for the 2019 season. After a great career at Temple University in the NCAA, Covile has had stints in Romania and is currently playing in the Belgium Women’s basketball league. Erica averaged 10 points and 8 rebounds per game in her senior year at Temple University and has continued to have good seasons in Romania, Spain and now Belgium.
Coach Ian Haughton said, “ Erica will give us great athleticism at the 4 spot and has the ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter and has a great ability to get to the basket also. She provides us with great balance on the floor and is a great piece to add to our roster.
Covile was also extremely excited about playing in Mackay and said, “ I am Very excited about playing in Australia. I am Ready to compete, work hard and have a great winning season. I look Forward to playing against some of the great competition Australia has and I will Bring all that I can to the team to help them win!
Erica will arrive at the completion of her season in Belgium of which her team is currently in 3rd position and about to enter playoffs.
