This weekend beginning Friday evening, McDonald's Mackay Multisport Stadium plays host to the QNJBC event for the under 16 age group
This event sees teams from Cairns, Townsville, Burdekin, Rockhampton and Mackay competing in round 2 after the first round was held in Cairns in December 2018. The third round will be held in Townsville next month. At the conclusion North Queensland champions will be crowned and seedings for the State Championships in April will be decided.
Also this weekend sees an Under 23 Men's and Women's competition played between Townsville, Rockhampton and Mackay. This gives QBL fringe and development players as well as younger players who have finished junior basketball the opportunity to play some higher level basketball.
Friday night games are at 6.30pm, and Saturday and Sunday kick off at 8am
