In fantastic news for the Mackay QBL Program, Global Product Search Meteorettes Head Coach has committed to coach the team again in 2019.  After a challenging 2018 season dealing with injuries and going through a rebuilding phase, Haughton is keen to continue the development of the group in 2019. 

Haughton said, “ I am extremely motivated and excited about the opportunity to lead the Global Product Search Meteorettes again in 2019.  I felt we had great development of our local players last year and I am looking forward to those players making an extra step again in 2019.  I believe we can continue to improve and will be in the finals mix again next season.”  We will now look at talking to players from last year to see if they are keen to commit to 2019 and also be looking at options we have to add a couple of key pieces to the group.” Haughton said. 

QBL Program Manager, Wade Rebetzke said,  “ We are pleased to have Ian commit to a second season with the Global Product Search Meteorettes.  It was a priority of the club to have Ian coach the team again and provides some stability for the 2019 season in that role.”  Ian did a wonderful job with the group last year and I believe that he will only improve in 2019 and I am really looking forward to seeing the Meteorettes group develop.  I am very excited in what the 2019 season can bring for the Global Product Search Meteorettes.”
