TOUGH NIGHT IN TOWNSVILLE
It was tough night in Townsville last night for our local QBL teams.
The Global Product Search Meteorettes went down to the Flames 97-67. Tami Willey led the way with 29 points, Nadeen Payne had 18 points and Sara Storeshaw chipped in with 13.
The McDonald's Meteors took to the floor without their general, Shaun Bruce, who had another commitment. The boys played tough before finally succumbing 96-81 to the Heat. Chris Cedar had a massive game against his former team with 29 points and Lukass Blicavs had 17 for the Meteors.
Both teams are back in action this Friday night at McDonald's Mackay Stadium where they take on Brisbane.
