The Global Product Search Mackay Meteorettes are happy to announce that they have signed Carl Teske  as Head Coach for the 2017 QBL season.  The former Mackay Meteor has returned to Mackay this year and is super keen to take the reins of the Meteorettes for the upcoming season. 

“With Mick Virgo stepping down after an extremely successful 4 years at the helm, the organisation was looking for a fresh approach for the team moving forward and we believe that Carl is the person to step into that role”.  Business Development Manager, Wade Rebetzke said. 

Carl has had experience coaching  in the extremely competitive Men’s Big V league in Victoria for a number of years and will bring that experience to the Global Product Search Meteorettes in 2017.  He is very passionate about Mackay Basketball and is invested in developing our junior members of the association as well. 

Carl is a Mackay Local that has returned home midway through the year and he understands both the league and what’s required for the team to be successful. 

“I am extremely excited about taking on the role in 2017.  The challenge will be to continue the wonderful success that the Global Product Search Meteorettes have had over the past 6 - 7 years and ensure that we continue to build on the strength in our women’s program.” , Teske said. 

Carl will now go about putting his 2017 playing roster into place and you can expect a number of player announcements in the coming weeks.  The process has already started in putting an extremely competitive team together with the aim of returning to the finals in the 2017 season.
