Mick Virgo has decided to step down from the Head Coaches position of the Global Product Search Meteorettes after spending the last 4 years as head coach and a total of 6 years in the program.  Mick has decided it’s time to take a break and one that has been extremely well earned.  In Mick’s time as head coach of the Meteorettes, he has guided the team to the finals each year and has captured 2 QBL Womens Titles and this year once again made it to the grand final where the Meteorettes were defeated by the Rockhamtpon Cyclones.

 

“Mick has been an integral part of our women’s program for the past 6 years and is a massive reason that we have had the success we have in that time.  His record speaks for itself and in his time as head coach our team has been always competing at the business end of the season”, Wade Rebetzke said.

 

Virgo said, “During my time as head coach I have received wonderful support from the organisation, including the support staff, volunteers and spectators. To all of our sponsors and in particular our Naming rights sponsor Global Product Search, thank you for the support you have given me and the Meteorettes program.”

 

“I would like to particularly thank all of the players that I have had the pleasure to coach as they have inspired me more than I could ever inspire them.”  Virgo said.

 

Last but not least Virgo said, “I would like to thank his family and friends for their continued support over the last 6 years, it’s been a wonderful journey.”
