CHALK SIGNS ON FOR THREE MORE YEARS
Going into his fourth full season as Head Coach of the Magic men's team Jason Chalk had high expectations of reaching the playoffs for the first time since 1999.
"i really put the pressure on myself and the team this year to make the playoffs but unfortunatley it was not meant to be this year" A spate of injuries and ha not helped the Magic cause this year but coach Jason Chalk does not use that as an excuse. "look all teams have injuries and have players missing at various stages of the year, so we are no diffenrent. I have a huge amount of belief in all the players in the squad so we dont make excuses we just look to go back and keep working for the rest of the season and then start planning for next season".
The men will complete this season knowing that they cannot make the playoffs but will endeavour to keep a few more wins rolling in for season 2011.
"No season is ever a waste and we have learnt alot and we still have four games left so we will do everything we can to win those games and to keep developing all our players. I love coaching this group of guys so it was a no brainer for me to continue on and I have the support of the board and we will continue to work to develop this great club into a powerhouse of the competition".
The men play theier next home game agianst Kalgoorlie Giants on Saturday July 16 at teh MARC.
