UNDER 12 GIRLS BRING HOME BWA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The girls went into the tournament on the back of the recent WABL season looking to push all teams over the weekend. In the first game of the tournament the girls defeated Wanneroo Wolves to get the championships off to a flying start.
The team finished the Saturday off by beating Williton Tigers and East Perth Eagles. Sunday was a testing time for all parents and players as the early start meant lots of coffee and yawning preceeding the game. However come tip off the team was on song to record it's fourth straight win for the tournament against Perry Lakes Hawks.
This win was followed up by a win over the Kalamunda Eastern Suns. In the final regulation game the girls beat Australind. The girls then followed this up with a semi final win over the Eastern Suns to the tune of 14 points.
In the championship decider Wanneroo were no match for our girls who triumphed 26 to 9 to take the title.
Head Coach Keeley Morehead was proud and excited for the team who worked so well together over the course of the weekend.
A big thank you must go out to all the parents who helped out with scoring and time keeping over the weekend as well as their ongoing support.
Well done to Head Coach Keeley and manager Beth House who all earnt a well deserved rest.
