SBL Teams Add Finishing Touches

It was a hot weekend of basketball at Kalamunda Basketball Stadium over the long weekend that saw our SBL teams compete against every other SBL team in the Pre Season Blitz.  Coaches Brooke Burns and Jason Chalk used the weekend to look at opposition teams and their own teams in preperation for the SBL season starting in 2 weeks time.

Both teams played games over the course of the weekend with the aim of getting every squad member valuable court time and exposure to the league.  It was a great opportunity for the young players to see what level they need ot play at to reach the heights of the SBL.

The women managed to win 2 out of 4 games for the weekend and the men 1 out of 3 games.  Both teams showed enough to suggest it culd be an exciting year for the Magic SBL program.

The season tips off with an away game against Perry Lakes Hawys on Saturday 13th of March with the men backing up at home the next day (Sunday 14th March) at 12pm against the Geraldton Buccaneers.
