Magic Girls Take Country Championships

A hot humid weekend in Perth at the historical Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium was the place to be over the weekend where our junior girls represented the Mandurah Basketball Association with the highest distinction.

Under 13's/14's and 15 girls competeted in the junior country championships over Saturday and Sunday.  The girls performances were outstanding with the 14's and 15's finishing third and our 13's ending up the champion side in their division.

The under 13 girls defeated Bunbury 34 - 20 in the championship decider.  it was a great all round effort from our under 13 girls and all other teams over the weekend.

Teghan George who coached the under 13 girls team to victory was named Allstar coach for the under 13 division.  Morgan Ballantyne (U/13) and Elise Read (U/14) were also named to their respective Allstar teams over the weekend.

Once again a big congratulations to all who participated.

This up coming weekend sees our Magic boys take on the best from around WA Country in the boys divisions.
