SBL Development Squads Begin Training
Begining in January the Mandurah Magic Basketball Club will be announcing two SBL Development Squads for the 2010 State Basketball League Season. A men's and women's squad has almost been decided under the guidance of head coaches Brooke Burns and Jason Chalk along with a number of other WABL coaches. Ten players will be selected for each squad, with the squads training once per week under the guidance of the Director of Basketball and in conjuction with the SBL Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches. The focus will be on skill development, mental aspects of the game and involvment with the senior SBL programs. It is a great opportunity for the up and coming basketball players in Mandurah to close the gap between the junior and senior ranks. All players selected will be notified in the next week.
