There wasn’t much between the teams in this clash, with the scores tied at both breaks in the first half. The Flames came out firing in the third quarter to take the lead out to 12 points going into the final period. Despite a comeback from the Rollers late in the match, the northerners took the spoils. Letitia Ward shot 14 points for Townsville, while Gold Coast’s Heidi Freeburn had a game-high 18 points.

The Flames were determined to come away from their road trip with two wins, and managed to pull it off, securing themselves a double-figure lead just five minutes into the match and held onto it for the remainder. Lisa Braunberger had a game-high 25 points for the Flames, while Jess Wallis put up 10 points for the Pirates.

Another close match in the opening stages, with the Heat leading by just one point at the end of the first quarter, before the Rollers fought back to gain the upper hand and go into halftime up by seven points. The Gold Coast put on a run of points in the third quarter to build a solid buffer that they maintained for the rest of the game to take the win at home. David Gurney and Jason Aucoin both shot 20 points for the Rollers while Matthew Rees put up 15 points for the Heat.

Yet another nail-biting match this week, with both teams holding the lead by just a couple of points on a number of occasions throughout the game. The Pirates went into the fourth quarter ahead by two points, before Townsville brought it back to 72-all with seven minutes to go. But South West refused to concede the match on their home court, coming back with a run of points to narrowly take the win. Brendan Teys contributed 26 points for the Pirates, while Joshua Myles shot 22 for the Heat.
