Cadet (Small Sided Games) Referees Course
A Small Sided Games (Under 6 – Under 10) Referees course will be held next Wednesday 14th April at 6.30pm at Mittagong RSL Club.
The exact room location is still to be advised.
Any interested players, children, coaches, and managers are welcome to attend. The cost is FREE and the course and theory test will take approximately an hour and a half to complete.
The aim of the course is to have Junior or Trainee Referees covering Club Small Sided Games and eventually continue on and become fully qualified Referees which they are entitled to do so at 14 years of age. The Minimum preferred age for course participants is 11 years old.
The HSA competition Rules state that a minimum fee of $8 be awarded for junior players who referee SSG matches. Appointments for matches will be carried out by a designated home club official.
In past years we have averaged 20 participants and most local Clubs have participated.
The course provides an opportunity for junior players to assist their Clubs on playing days as well as become actively involved in refereeing.
All Clubs who have participants will ultimately benefit from having Referees and assistants available to cover junior and senior matches.
