Rangers Soccer School Report

Highland Soccer Association - Overseas Camp

Rangers Soccer Schools visited Australia again this Easter for the second year in a row.

The Highland Soccer Association hosted another Soccer School this year seeing over 90 players taking part in the Rangers Soccer School.

Young recreational players from 5 – 15 trained with Rangers coach during the first week and had an absolute ball while players from their representative team U12 – U16 participated in a team camp the following week and where really put through their paces.

Not only did the young players from the Southern Highlands, about an hour outside Sydney get a chance to take part but over 30 local coaches attended a coach education evening and where shown new drills and techniques currently used at Murray Park.

The whole trip was a roaring success and plans are currently being put into place to run another camp in 2011.

Greg Statt, Soccer Schools Overseas Development Officer

“Last year was the first time we had visited the Highland Soccer Association and I am happy to say the camp has grown even bigger this year so I am looking forward to 2011 and developing the relationship between both clubs”.
