The 2012 – Atkinson Price Joadja Cup – Expression of Interest in Playing

 

Many of you would have heard about the Atkinson Price Joadja Cup! Originally played for in 1887!

 On Saturday 14^th April 2012 we are planning to hold a Joadja Cup game – ENGLAND –V- SCOTLAND at the home of Highlands Football Club, David Woods Field, Boardman Road East Bowral.

 

This notice is for two reasons:

 

1. Expressions of Interest to play in one of the teams
2. Volunteers to help run the fun packed day

 

1. Expressions of Interest to Play

 

Please ensure you qualify! – Players will be picked on a first come first served basis as long as they quality by: Being a registered Association player for any club for the season 2012, (this is for insurance reasons). You do not have to be English or Scottish but it might help towards the excitement of the game!!The cost of entering as a player will be $50 for this fee you get to keep the full England or Scotland kit you wear on the day with the Joadja Cup 2012 logo – a great souvenir!

 

If you are interested in playing please email martin@cbea.com.au with the following information as soon as possible: The first 13 responses for each team will be selected:

• ·                                                                                 Contact Telephone Number
• ·                                                                                 Your registered club in 2012
• ·                                                                                 Preferred team – England or Scotland
• ·                                                                                 Preferred playing position

 

Each team will have 13 players and one coach or player/coach – it will be a full 90 minute game kick off time 2.30pm on Saturday 14^th April 2012 

 

This is a FUN Charity Match and will be run in conjunction with the Ben Mikic Foundation (see www.benmikicfoundation.org.au )and after the game a function is being planned at The Scottish Arms – with entertainment, dancing, Scottish and English themed food (if you can stomach haggis!) and maybe a few well earned beers! Register to play, put your hand up to help and bring the whole family.
