Local basketballer needs your help - vote 1 today

"After retirement in 2005 from my appointment as Assistant Director of the Department of Immigration in Adelaide, Judith and I moved to beautiful Port Lincoln. We had owned a small home here for some ten years and are now fortunate to be living where we are close to our Grandchildren.
Since relocating to Port Lincoln, Judith and I have both been very active in the local sports community in Football, Basketball and Swimming. I am actively involved at Committee levels with the Basketball and Swimming Associations and I umpire for both the Football and Basketball leagues.
Port Lincoln has a lifestyle which is the envy of other regional cities. It is a lifestyle built on wealth of the Region and the wealth has been returned to the City. It is our responsibility to ensure that advantage is bestowed on the development of our youth through sports and education, whilst not forgetting the contribution of our senior citizens and their access to well deserved and respectful "Aged Care" facilities.
For these reasons, my interests in nominating for Council includes consideration of Council options for the future of the local swimming and basketball associations in the light of possible changes as early as 2015. The basketball association provides an excellent venue for young basketball stars, their mums and dads who play less competitively and a more vigorous senior competition. "
