After many meetings, emails and discussions dating back to late 2011, the final grading structures for 2012 have been decided.
The philosophy of the grading committees this year was to try and structure competitions that had a great emphasis on participating in division one, our premier competitions and with this in mind, there are more teams in division one than down at all three age levels for the first time.
Grading is one of the more difficult tasks that is undertaken each year and the three grading committees are made up of some 5 to 8 people, with a mix of league management committee and club personnel involved in the final decision making, all focused on getting the best possible outcomes for all teams and clubs.

Some grading highlights to note include Gympie AFC who will be fielding teams in division 1 in all youth age groups for the first time since divisions were introduced. A great result for all involved at ‘The Cattery.’
Commendation must also go to clubs such as Pomona, Nambour & Hinterland, Bribie Island and Glasshouse Hinterland for taking on the challenge of division 1 in Under 12s.
Another highlight is the effort of Kawana Park in fielding two Under 14 teams for the first time, ensuring maximum playing opportunities for their players.
The fixture for round 5 will be out to clubs by tonight (Tuesday May 5).
The draw for the remainder of the season will then be formulated in the coming week, and will be distributed to clubs in a draft format for review before being finalised and published on the website.
The start of the 2012 season has been a successful one and we thank all of our clubs, players and supporters for their efforts to date.
