The Caloundra Panthers home ground at North Street is almost compete with stage one of their facility upgrades.
Acclaim Apprentices and Trainees finished up their work with the inside of the Club house looking close to new once again.
Junior President, Jamie Glover said the improvements to the facility have increased the appeal of the footy Club and given the surrounding community an injection of vitality.
“We are working hard to improve the image at North Street and with the new field fence, the Club house renovations and future plans for upgrading the lights we are well on our way,” Glover said.
“In encouraging more people to come down to our Club and not only play footy but be involved in the Club culture it is imperative that we have the necessary resources to facilitate that community need.
“Our current committee is on the ball with a lot of things at the moment from fundraisers to Youth Girls Footy and building our senior team numbers, we are really focused on community involvement and improving our Club standard on and off the field.”
The Panthers will be celebrating the facility improvements on ANZAC Day, Wednesday March 25 with a renovation celebration at the Club house.
Fundraising Coordinator, Leanne Hipwood said that the renovation celebration is a chance to admire all of the hard work and watch some quality AFL on the big screen.
“It will be a huge day and with the ANZAC Day clash between Essendon and Collingwood being broadcast at the Club rooms, we hope to get a lot of people down to the Club to celebrate everything Panthers AFL,” Hipwood said.
“There will be a lot going on and our Junior President will be officially opening the improved facilities for everyone to inspect.
“Season 2012 will be a huge year for the Caloundra Panthers and with the renovation celebration, pie night and Women in Football function all yet to come.”
