On Monday October 10 Training Sense will be providing an information session at Fishermans Road for registered individuals, parents and other club members who are interested in further information.
The information session for individuals, parents and clubs has been changed to better accommodate the school term by allowing the first week back to get the interested individuals registered and aware of the information session.
An information session was presented at the last delegates meeting with a positive response from all clubs with the Noosa Footy Club highlighting the benefit of the program to the individuals as well as the club and community.
Training Sense is a Nationally Accredited Registered Training Organisation that offers quality training is sport, fitness and leisure industries.
They have formulated a high performance based sports experience in conjunction with AFL to offer a traineeship opportunity.
Basically it is an opportunity for kids turning 16 next year to do a Certificate III In Sport and Recreation in conjunction with school and your local AFL Club.
First step to get this program running and benefiting your school and AFL Club is for potential trainees to register their interest online ASAP (see link below).

Outcomes for participants include:
- Nationally recognised qualifications in Certificate III In Sport and Recreation, Level 1 AFL Coaching Accreditation and Sports First Aid
- Be paid as an employee of Training Sense for eight hours of work per week for the duration of the traineeship
- Participants will complete skill development sessions with current AFL players
- Develop a broad range of skills within the sport and recreation industry
- Participants receive bonus points towards their year 12 studies.
