Round’s 16 and 17, Luke gathered back to back bags of 13 goals to finish his season off with plenty of confidence prior to finals. Certainly this goal kicking board is highlighted with a large number of Nambour & Hinterland players amongst it, this just underlying the strength they have been at this level in season 2011. From this Blues strength they were then to feature highly in the B&F vote count, the eventual winner no surprise coming from the Blues club in the form of Courey Hubscher-Anzini. Courey winning by one vote with votes gathered in 11 games, from North Shore Jet Jy Bennett. Jy did most of his vote gathering in the first 11 games and suffered late in the season with some injury, so it was a most commendable effort by Jy.
Another standout in this competition is the pocket-sized, but huge hearted Jackson Bury of Maroochydore Roos who gathered 25 votes from 13 games.

Noosa Blue player Chris Morgan in his first season of AFL club footy was the leading goal kicker with 43 big ones in the 14’s division 1 competition. A good spread of goal kickers across this competition, for the Eagles of Kawana Park whom play in this week’s Grand Final they certainly have indicated a number of avenues to goal with Brent Morris, Ben Glover and Dylan Menti all showing they love a shot at the big sticks.

Young Glasshouse Hinterland player Adam Lillecrapp is to be commended for his never say never attitude that he brings to the footy field and in 2011 a feat that isn’t performed often was done. Adam unfortunately played in a team that failed to win the four points at any time but for 18 rounds he worked feverishly to lead his team in to battle, giving the big 100% on all occasions. Footy is not always about the end result but how you play the game and this award is fitting commendation to this attitude – well done Adam.
Plenty of key names in this list of top ten vote getters with most playing or being there about to gaining a Suncoast Power Under 14 jumper in 2011. And also amongst the group was Blake Hartley who with Bribie Island team mate Liam Tozer represented that opposition lot of the Northern Raiders – Power jumpers look far better boys.
Scott Sinclair, a most deserving runner up, had a fantastic first half of the season polling 17 of his 23 votes in the first nine rounds of the season, 7 times his blond hair caught the umpires attention in this period. For Adam he was just there all season long, he gained 4 BOG’s and polled in 12 of his games.
Third placed Dylan Menti who fell two votes shy of the big gong also gathered votes in 12 games to show a most consistent season. Jesse Malthouse of the tigers of Noosa also deserving recognition in that he polled 17 votes by round 11 then missed round 13 as all Power players did before gaining a broken hand that was to keep him out ‘til finals time.
